Food Reporter, a media platform for hospitality professionals powered by Bidfood, together with Gault&Millau, is organising the anniversary edition of New Chefs on the Block on 10 February. Here, the three most promising young chefs of the Netherlands are declared to give them the stage they deserve. A future-oriented vision is an important criterion in choosing the three up-and-coming talents.
This tenth extra-large anniversary edition will look back at the impact of the elections in recent years. Previous winners, who have successful careers, will be present to share their experiences. With their personal stories, they will inspire the new generation of chefs to realise their ambitions.
The New Chefs on the Block will be announced through three documentaries. These documentaries give insight into each New Chef's career path, vision, cooking style and signature dish, among other things. The award ceremony will take place at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht.
Vivian Bruinsma, Manager Food Reporter: "We are proud to be organising the tenth edition of New Chefs on the Block. We created this concept because we think it's important to give young talent a stage and connect them with established names. This is how we strengthen the future of the industry together. We welcome more visitors than ever during this anniversary edition and look forward to experiencing an inspiring day with so many hospitality professionals together."
Visitors to the awards ceremony can attend the Gault&Millau guide launch afterwards. The guide is published annually and is a compilation of restaurant and hotel reviews.
