Also come to Data Meets Hospitality.
On Monday 16 June, Antwerp will once again be the epicentre for hospitality entrepreneurs from the Netherlands and Belgium. In the imposing Waagnatie Expo & Events, POS system and payment platform Lightspeed will organise the third edition of the inspiring event Data Meets Hospitality. This year's theme: Turn Data Into Action.
Visitors can expect keynote speakers including Stef Driessen, Sector Banker Hotels & Leisure at ABN Amro, Matthias De Caluwé, CEO of Horeca Vlaanderen, and Julius Persoone, chef and chocolatier at The Chocolate Line. Also on the programme are Joyce de Haas, co-founder of Double Dutch Drinks, and JD Saint-Martin, President at Lightspeed, to share their insights and experiences. There will also be practical sessions and panel discussions with experts from the field. Expect concrete strategies, tools and insights directly applicable on the shop floor. There will also be live demonstrations and exclusive product launches.
At Data Meets Hospitality, the hotel manager sits down next to the barista, the chef sits in a row with the café owner, and restaurateurs share their insights with food-tech pioneers. The hospitality industry comes together here. The strength of this event lies precisely in this cross-pollination. Because where one learns how to manage teams in a big hotel, the other gets inspiration from how to stay personal as a small café in a digital world. New ideas arise where you look outside your own four walls.
Whether you are struggling with staff planning, want to get more out of your data or fine-tune your guest experience - this is the place where hospitality industry shows itself as one family. Hotel, restaurant, café: three worlds, one industry.
The topics covered are familiar to any hospitality entrepreneur. Think of smarter planning and managing teams, optimising workflows and monitoring margins. We will also discuss how data can be used as a growth accelerator, for instance for pricing strategies, revenue management and marketing. There is also a focus on artificial intelligence, not as a trend word but as a concrete tool within the hospitality industry. And of course, the future of hospitality is not missing, with topics such as self-service, personalisation and digital experience.
Following the event, the DMH Hospitality Awards will be presented from 19:00 to 22:00. This evening is all about recognising entrepreneurs and teams that have excelled in innovation, guest experience or operational strength in the past year. In the Hotel category, recently opened hotels are nominated based on design and concept. The award ceremony is the festive finale of the day, with room for meetings, a good glass and inspiring stories from colleagues in the profession. On behalf of Hotelvak Benelux, Armand Landman, co-responsible for the final editing of the magazine, will be part of the jury. The award show is free for all visitors to the event, but requires a separate registration. This registration is via the event app. It is a unique opportunity to round off the day in an informal atmosphere, surrounded by peers who, like you, are passionate about the hospitality industry.
