High-level dining at Efteling restaurant Mystique

The Efteling Grand Hotel, where the Efteling will offer the highest quality of luxury, will host two new unique restaurants from 1 August. At Restaurant-Bar Mystique - where nothing is what it seems - large and small guests from 9 years old can enjoy a high-level wondrous dining experience.The restaurant can also be reserved for visitors who are not Efteling hotel or park guests. 

Chef Teun van Berlo

Brabant-based Teun van Berlo is the head chef at Restaurant-Bar Mystique. He previously worked at several top-level restaurants, including De Lindehof in Nuenen, Chuchara in Lommel (BE), Somm in Uden, Sillyfox in Veghel and Zarzo in Eindhoven. He has also won special awards: Young Chef Award Euro Toques (2022) and winner Grand Concours Bollinger (2023).

Chef Teun van Berlo: "At Mystique, we work with a flavour formula of 12 refined flavours. Nothing is what it seems, so prepare for unexpected surprises at the table in taste, smell and layout. Think of table decorations that suddenly turn out to be edible, or an appetiser on fire. We work with local ingredients with a story, creating a unique experience for young and old. We are the only restaurant - in the higher segment - in the Benelux that also focuses on younger guests. I am really looking forward to mystically surprising our guests from 1 August onwards."

Restaurant-Bar Mystique

Restaurant-Bar Mystique is located on the first floor of the Efteling Grand Hotel. You can dine both inside and on the terrace with beautiful views of the spectacular water show Aquanura. The restaurant is open daily from 5pm and the experience lasts over two hours. Once the party is seated, big and small create a magical flavour formula together. This formula determines the menu of sophisticated dishes for the evening. The hotel lounge-bar, where signature cocktails and bar bites are reserved, is open to hotel and park guests from 4pm. The restaurant is also open to visitors who are not hotel or park guests, by reservation only. Reservations can be made while booking a stay, via the Efteling app or via the website.

About Efteling Grand Hotel

Efteling Grand Hotel will be a residence with grandeur in the heart of Efteling, where young and old can discover the wonderful atmosphere of a grand hotel together. The largest hotel within the World of Efteling will have seven floors, be 106 metres wide and include 140 rooms and suites with a total of 644 beds. Hotel guests can relax in the swimming pool with spa facilities. Two unique restaurants, an atmospheric coffee bar and Arcadeau - a large souvenir shop - will be accessible to both hotel and park visitors. The second restaurant next to Restaurant-Bar Mystique is Brasserie 7, where Efteling visitors can enjoy classics with a twist of 7 magical ingredients. The Efteling Grand Hotel will open on 1 August 2025.
