Checkout and payment platform Lightspeed Commerce Inc (NYSE | TSX: LSPD) ("Lightspeed"), announces the launch of the intuitive Kitchen Display System (CDB), specifically designed to meet the high demands for efficient kitchen management and improve communication between kitchen and operation. The digital kitchen display replaces paper receipts and allows orders to be updated in real time. This speeds up preparation times, reduces errors and improves the overall workflow that also reduces food waste.
With 61 per cent of the Dutch eating out at least once a month and 12 per cent even on a weekly basis, restaurants are increasingly turning to technology to reduce costs, improve efficiency and increase customer satisfaction. "As more people eat out and restaurant operations become increasingly complex, the right technology is essential to ensure efficiency and provide guests with the perfect experience," said Liam Crooks, Managing Director of EMEA at Lightspeed. "Our revamped CDB is specifically designed to meet the high demands of busy restaurant kitchens. It enables restaurants to focus on what really matters: delivering excellent service and delicious food to their guests."
Lightspeed KDS combines the benefits of a perfect guest experience with technology, creating a seamless connection between operation and kitchen. The system supports a wide range of hardware, for any type of restaurant. Its advanced functionalities allow kitchens to efficiently prioritise and manage orders, ensuring dishes are always ready on time, even during the busiest times.
"It's a nice system to work with," says Juan Pablo Mendez of Mimi's Restaurant in Basel, Switzerland. "The biggest added value of CDB is the reduction of noise and distractions. You want the chef to concentrate on the kitchen staff, the kitchen staff on preparing dishes and the service on the guests. When I introduced the CDB to the restaurant, it took some getting used to at first, but after two days, everyone had changed their minds and were already asking for more screens. Even the waiters now want their own screen to monitor their orders themselves. It gives us an overview and accurate insight into all orders. In addition, the digital instructions also work very pleasantly."
CDB is now available to users of Lightspeed Restaurant in the Netherlands and Belgium. The digital kitchen screen increases ordering accuracy, helps prevent input errors and ensures better cooperation between kitchen and service, leading to greater efficiency and a better guest experience.
