Restaurant and bar on ground floor connect guests and Amsterdam residents
WE ARE EDN, pronounced 'eden', is a concept by StiR Creative Collective, Hilton's creative consultancy, and opens its first location in Amsterdam. The atmosphere in the restaurant and bar is homely, with much inspiration drawn from nature and the international menu complemented by local favourites. WE ARE EDN is approachable with an open and attractive feel that should appeal to the two million passers-by a year on Oosterdokkade to come for breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks.
WE ARE EDN is an all-day dining concept with a big heart and a strong conscience. A piece of paradise on the ground floor of DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station, a few minutes' walk from Amsterdam Centraal station. EDN stands for Engage, Develop and Nurture, and is a call for sustainable, positive change in the city.

The restaurant has a separate bar area and is inspired by Mother Nature. Guests eat and drink surrounded by plants, organic shapes and natural colours. The sustainable menu includes international dishes as well as local favourites, with vegan, vegetarian, meat and fish options made from fresh, seasonal ingredients. From breakfast to drinks, tourists, hotel guests and Amsterdam residents alike can visit WE ARE EDN all day long. For example, for French toast, a papaya salad, classic burger, aubergine and spinach ravioli or a pistachio-churro sandwich.
Behind the bar, cocktails are made and, besides the well-known brands, a number of local beers flow from the tap. Like OPA, or Oosterdok Pale Ale. Specially brewed for Doubletree by Hilton Amsterdam Central Station. A sustainable beer in homage to the rich maritime history of Amsterdam and the Oosterdok Island. Furthermore, they have a collaboration with the Limoncello Club from Amsterdam. WE ARE EDN pours their artisanal and organic limoncello and orancello from personalised bottles specially designed for WE ARE EDN. By the way, the drinks menu also features plenty of options without or low in alcohol. For instance, they collaborate with the Amsterdam Frisdrank Fabriek for their craft sodas.
WE ARE EDN is committed to local and sustainable solutions and to supporting local, people-centred initiatives for a healthier planet and community. Think employment opportunities, the use of seasonal products and the adoption of waste reduction systems. The kitchen works extensively with Dutch suppliers. Think De Pastafabriek from Haarlem, Nice to Meat from Almere and Broodheeren from Raamsdonkveer.
