Golden Tulip Hotel Central viert 120-jarig jubileum

Golden Tulip Hotel Central celebrates 120th anniversary

This afternoon, alderman Ralph Geers accepted the first copy of the festive anniversary magazine celebrating the hotel's anniversary from Karin and Tom Rademaker, directors of the hotel. 120 years ago, on 14 May 1905, Johan Rademaker started Hotel Central on the Markt in 's-Hertogenbosch. Meanwhile, the fourth and fifth generations of hoteliers are at the helm and the four-star superior hotel is more successful than ever. During the official reception, the alderman also unveiled two neon nameplates in honour of the third generation of Rademaker: Miep's Corner and Tony's Bar. With a clear vision of the future and ambitious plans, the family-run business will continue to develop and innovate in the coming years.

Karin Rademaker, Director and fourth generation, says: "Hotel Central has grown with the city over 120 years. It was expanded, rebuilt and renovated - but always remained in the hands of our family". Meanwhile, five generations of Rademaker ensure that the doors are always open. "Not out of tradition, but simply because it feels right. Care is still taken to see who enters our doors, whether you are an acquaintance or stepping over the threshold for the first time - you are welcome. And you feel that.".

Now, in 2025, the hotel is 120 years old and it is up to the fifth generation, in the person of Tom Rademaker, to continue the business as Director. For now, he still does so together with his aunt Karin, with whom he shares day-to-day management. "For me, this is not a time for big words, but for sincere gratitude. For the colleagues who have been working here for decades, for the guests who keep coming back, for the loyal customers and suppliers, with whom a good relationship has developed." There are still plenty of plans for the future, says Rademaker. Thinking along with the developments that the city -s Hertogenbosch is going through. Making Hotel Central even more beautiful and genuinely enjoying carefree together. "With guests and staff, in our beautiful city and us as a family together. We realise that almost every inhabitant of Bosschenbosch knows Central, but that our ambition is to let every inhabitant of Bosschenbosch see and experience Central once again, in this new phase of our family business, how special it is to be here.
