"Boutique Hotel Blendin Bloemendaal: An Interwoven Oasis of Nature, Art and Luxury"

On the dunes of Bloemendaal, the brand new hotel Boutique Hotel Blendin Bloemendaal opened in early November. Overlooking the sea, this hotel is a great place to rest and explore this beautiful coastal region.

Blendin Bloemendaal is the first hotel of the new Blendin brand. In the coming year, the chain will expand to several European countries, including Portugal and Austria.

For each Blendin location, we look for a way to blend into the surroundings. For hotel Blendin Bloemendaal, for instance, inspiration was sought in nature and the surroundings. This is because the hotel borders the beautiful Kennemer dunes and the Amsterdam Water Supply Dunes.

Inspiration was drawn from the work of the famous botanist and writer Jac. P. Thijsse, who created the famous Verkade nature collection albums from the 1930s onwards. Thijsse is the founder of Natuurmonumenten. Throughout the hotel, guests will therefore find playful references to his work. In addition, Blendin wants to encourage guests to go outside, explore nature and reflect the importance of protecting nature.

Based on this philosophy, cooperation was also sought with renowned artist duo Sinke & Van Tongeren. They make beautiful art of taxidermy. With carefully placed stuffed animals, they honour Thijsses's love of nature.

In this way, Blendin creates a place where travellers can meet and are encouraged to be curious about each other and the environment. This beautiful artwork highlights Thijsse's legacy in nature conservation, and is a powerful reminder of the importance of environmental management for future generations. Boutique Blendin Bloemendaal stands atop the dune overlooking the sea. The hotel has 46 rooms and 3 separate suites. The breakfast & bar has a wonderful wine, drinks and bite list and a delicious breakfast buffet in the morning.
