Lightspeed launches latest version of Lightspeed Restaurant for hospitality entrepreneurs in the Netherlands

The updated version bundles more functionality, efficiency and speed into one bundled checkout and payment platform

Lightspeed Commerce Inc. (NYSE: LSPD) (TSX: LSPD), today launched the latest version of Lightspeed Restaurant, its flagship product for the hospitality sector. Lightspeed is the integrated POS and payment platform for ambitious entrepreneurs who want to grow, offer extraordinary experiences and set the tone in their industry.

Digital tools as weapon against inflation and labour shortages

A recent and independent survey conducted by Lightspeed among Dutch consumers shows that restaurants have started to pay better attention to portion sizes in times of inflation and price increases. 44% says they have no problem with restaurants reducing their portion sizes or increasing their menu prices if it makes them financially secure. 

In addition, 61 per cent of Dutch consumers also believe that QR codes are a good solution for hospitality entrepreneurs to protect themselves from rising prices. Digital tools such as QR codes and menu engineering offer a solution for hospitality businesses struggling with staff shortages or suffering from rising commodity prices. They respectively ease the workload of serving staff and give more insight into the performance of dishes on a menu. The updated version of Lightspeed Restaurant provides hospitality entrepreneurs with such tools and more to better cope with current and future challenges in the hospitality sector.
