Koninklijke Horeca Nederland (KHN) is proud to announce that Udo Delfgou will take office on 1 October as the new managing director of the trade association for the hospitality industry. Udo brings with him a wealth of experience as an administrator and director, and his enthusiasm, expertise and connecting qualities perfectly match KHN's ambitions. We are convinced that he will make an important contribution to the future-proofing of our industry.
Udo Delfgou (53) is currently managing director of INretail, the trade association for entrepreneurs in the non-food sector. He has championed the interests of entrepreneurs in the retail sector for more than 20 years. Before that, he held various management positions at various companies. Udo Delfgou: "With more than 20 years of experience as director at INretail, I am extremely looking forward to using my experience with associations, the challenges of members, the relevance of a membership and the power of advocacy for the most hospitable sector there is: the hospitality industry. Starting in October, I would like to get to know the staff, members and stakeholders of KHN as soon as possible to hear what is going on. Together with them, I want to see how we can make it an even more beautiful sector than it already is. I am extremely looking forward to dedicating myself to this wonderful industry from October onwards."
KHN president Marijke Vuik on the appointment: "We are extremely proud that Udo will start as managing director on 1 October and are looking forward to his arrival. With his extensive experience and connecting qualities, I am confident that he and the team will shape the ambitions of our industry association. There are big challenges ahead for our industry, for instance when it comes to less regulatory burden, innovation and realistic sustainability and health ambitions. His experience of the association landscape, his network and his knowledge of the political playing field will be of great value in this regard."
