From the start of July, a new culinary duo will be at the helm in the kitchen of TerWorm Castle in Heerlen. Head chef Kilian Anders is taking up the post of head chef and will be supported by SVH master chef Andy Brauers. Anders is thus taking over from head chef Dave Beckers.
Kilian Anders is the new head chef and has gained experience at Restaurant George’s and as sous-chef at the Michelin-starred restaurant Au Coin Des Bons Enfants, both in Maastricht. For Anders, this return feels like coming home. Between 2016 and 2021, he had already worked in the kitchen at Valk Exclusief Kasteel TerWorm.
With the arrival of Anders and Brauers, Kasteel TerWorm – which has been awarded a 14–20 rating by Gault & Millau – remains committed to a high-calibre fine dining concept. However, the concept is becoming more accessible to hotel guests. Whereas guests previously could only choose a four- or five-course menu, it will soon be possible to order à la carte dishes.
In addition, the kitchen remains true to classic French cuisine. Anders will occasionally add a contemporary twist to this. In doing so, the restaurant aims to maintain its trusted quality whilst at the same time catering to the preferences of a wider audience. Maître d’Hôtel Stef Peters is looking forward to the arrival of the new culinary duo. “Anders and Brauers are a real asset to Kasteel TerWorm. Not only are they good friends, but they have also proven in the past that they work well together. We have a wonderful time ahead of us.”

With the arrival of Anders and Brauers, this castle in South Limburg is ready for a new chapter. Earlier this year, all the hotel rooms were refurbished and the reception area was modernised. TerWorm Castle is part of Valk Exclusief and features 40 luxury hotel rooms and regal suites. Visitors can discover nature, opulence and relaxation in the surrounding area and on the TerWorm estate.
