Jacob de Graaff(1975)
Jacob de Graaff, after studying at the High Hotel School in The Hague held various positions in the national and international hotel industry. For example, he worked at ClubMed in France and Spain, and then at Hilton Amsterdam as back-of-house manager. The period after that he spent in the front office worked at several renowned hotels in Amsterdam, including the NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky and the Radisson SAS (Blu).
In Groningen, he was General Manager of the Eden City Hotel and, in Amsterdam, of the Apollo Museumhotel. Here, his responsibilities included a thorough renovation of the hotel, including remodelling the restaurant and setting up a new concept.
After this, he worked as Yield and Revenue Coach at four Amsterdam-based Eden Group hotels in the e-commerce department.
Currently at Hotelinmotion, Jacob de Graaf is engaged in consulting in the field of yield and revenue management, interim management as director of sales, general manager, executive search and training sessions. In addition, once a quarter he organises the Hotel free mibo's and is setting up several other projects.
Melle Pegman(1985)
Melle Pegman also studied at the Hogere Hotelschool The Hague and even before the end of his studies, he traded The Hague for Amsterdam. He completed his final internship at the Hilton Amsterdam, where he soon felt completely at home.
After his internship, he stayed with Hilton and began his career as a Shiftleader in Banqueting. He soon broadened his F&B experience as a F&B supervisor in the Half Moon Lounge and Banqueting
From January 2010, he combined his job at the Hilton with the ambassadorship for the Hotel free mibo. Later that year, he and Jacob decided to conquer the London market as well. Thus was born HotelFridays, the English version of the Hotelvrijmibo.
In addition to years of experience in Food and Beverage, Melle decided to gain experience in the Front Office and made a foray as a Front Office Supervisor. He eventually returned to the Banqueting, as manager.
During the last period of his work at the Hilton, the idea of Hotelprofessionals was further conceived and developed.
