Soenil Bahadoer first Dutch chef in Dom Pérignon Society

Two-star chef joins international network of visionary creators

Dom Pérignon is proud to announce that chef Soenil Bahadoer has become the first Dutch chef to join the Dom Pérignon Society. With his admission, Bahadoer joins a select international collective of chefs, artists and creative innovators who share the Maison's core values: craftsmanship, imagination and the pursuit of perfection within the limits of a single vintage.

Bahadoer's accession was officially confirmed on 18 December 2025 and marks a special new connection between Dutch gastronomy and one of the most iconic champagne houses in the world. After thirty years as chef-owner of the two-star restaurant De Lindehof in Nuenen and the recent opening of his award-winning restaurant GEM., this partnership confirms Bahadoer's position as a leading and influential culinary voice in the Netherlands.

“For me, cooking is about emotion, identity and craftsmanship,” says Soenil Bahadoer. “That fits seamlessly with Dom Pérignon. We share the same dedication to perfection: finding balance in contrast.”

The collaboration reflects Dom Pérignon's shared belief that true creativity arises within boundaries. Just as the Maison focuses on creating champagnes from a single vintage, Bahadoer works with contrasts, precision and layering in his dishes. In both disciplines, harmony is not the starting point, but the result of mastery.

“Soenil’s style is bold and precise; qualities that are close to Dom Pérignon’s heart,” says Vincent Chaperon, Chef de Cave at Dom Pérignon. “He combines technique and emotion in a way that is rare. His cuisine embodies the excitement that characterises our champagnes.”

The Dom Pérignon Society is not an open membership, but a carefully curated international network of leading chefs, artists and creative innovators. Members are personally invited to join this global collective, where they share their vision on creativity, taste and time. The society includes Albert Adrià, Eneko Atxa and Quique Dacosta, who have previously given their own interpretation of Dom Pérignon's philosophy.
