On 11 and 12 March, RAI Amsterdam will once again transform into a vibrant boutique hotel during the Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam. The theme of this special fifth edition is Redefining Luxury. Hoteliers can register for free via the website.
"This time, we chose the theme Redefining Luxury," Chaya Huisman of the Independent Hotel Show tells us. "A topic that is currently hugely alive in the hotel and luxury sector. The new generation of hotel guests has very different expectations when it comes to luxury. Instead of red carpets, gold taps and turn-down service, they expect a more inclusive, social and sustainable form of luxury. They seek personalised offerings, with a strong focus on society, health and entertainment. For many hotels, this is a complex transition. We want to support hotels in this by offering new insights, showing the latest trends and putting hoteliers in touch with representatives of top brands. In addition, we offer plenty of space for networking and knowledge exchange."
Hundreds of managers and owners of luxury hotels from the Netherlands, Belgium and surrounding countries come to the Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam to get inspiration from more than 200 suppliers. "From international brands like ASSA ABLOY and Geberit showing their latest innovations, to carefully selected companies like YesPlease for sustainable coffee solutions, Tas Design for branding, By Rockland for sustainable workwear and Douxe for luxury linen and bedding. These are companies that provide tailor-made solutions for boutique and luxury hotels, as well as chain hotels that are increasingly positioning themselves as lifestyle hotels. There is also a diverse mix of hotel management systems, cosmetics companies and top designers present. In short: all the partners needed to develop a new hotel or upgrade an existing one. We aim to present new brands every time, so that visitors have a reason to come back every year."
The Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam has developed into a leading event for the hotel industry in just a few years. "Independent hotels have become increasingly influential within the industry in recent years," says Huisman. "As the demand for this type of hotels is growing enormously, we see more and more chain hotels opening or acquiring boutique and lifestyle hotels themselves. This is an international trend that is growing rapidly."
"Our seminar programme always attracts full rooms," Huisman explains. "For two days, various stages feature informative lectures, panel discussions and workshops that offer hoteliers tools to improve the guest experience, increase profitability and stay ahead of the competition. All current themes within the hotel industry will be covered: from technology to design, from revenue and reputation management to branding and staffing, and from sustainability to social responsibility. This year too, we have an impressive list of international experts sharing their knowledge with us."
