Optimism prevails at EquipHotel in Paris

Bold, innovative and creative

Last November, Porte de Versailles in Paris was once again the setting for EquipHotel, the leading trade fair for the hospitality industry. With more than 1,200 French and international exhibitors, the show again offered a range of innovative products, services and practical solutions for hospitality professionals. Several companies from the Netherlands and Belgium were also present.

"Let's dare!" That was the central theme of EquipHotel this year. A tour of the many thousands of exhibitors quickly showed that many suppliers had indeed pulled out all the stops to let visitors discover new, daring approaches to hospitality. Because anyone looking for creative and innovative concepts in Paris was short of eyes. With its unique, customisable and sustainable furniture and interior accessories, the Amsterdam company Puik Design also made a contribution.

Luxury sofa bed from Revor creates extra space in hotel room

The high-quality mattresses, box springs, bed bases and headboards of Belgian family-owned company Revor Group have long found their way into the hotel industry. "That ranges from charming guesthouses to luxury resorts and five-star hotels," says Aaron Soenens, responsible for sales for the project market. "At EquipHotel, our new and very luxuriously upholstered sofa bed in particular was the main attraction. This fold-out bed allows you to create two sleeping places on top of each other in a hotel room. Thus, this sofa bed effectively replaces two children's beds that are normally placed next to each other, saving a lot of space. We have received many positive reactions to this product! We also presented our fully recyclable circular mattress at EquipHotel, a real innovation towards sustainable and environmentally conscious production. Not for nothing has Revor been awarded the prestigious EcoVadis certificate for this, for companies that are committed to sustainability."

Impressive offer

The exhibition stand of Dutch company Crown International, which specialises in OS&E products, also garnered plenty of admiration with its high-quality synthetic leather items, stylish brass bathroom accessories and atmospheric interior items.

The numerous visitors from the hospitality industry could therefore indulge themselves during the five-day event. Like Hendi, Dutch specialist in accessories for the gastronomy and hospitality industry, which acted under the heading 'Tools for Chefs' with an impressive range of kitchen utensils, buffet and bar items.

Interior design label Dôme Deco distinguishes itself with cosmopolitan style

Belgian interior design label Dôme Deco looks back on EquipHotel with satisfaction. "For us, it is an ideal trade fair because it focuses specifically on the hospitality industry like no other," says marketing manager Aurelie Rybski. "This is because the project market of hotels and restaurants is our main target group. For this market, we mainly supply furniture, distinguishing ourselves especially with our cosmopolitan style. In terms of colours and fabrics, we are constantly drawing inspiration from influences from all over the world, which we then translate into an interior design collection." At Dôme Deco's exhibition stand in Paris, a collection of bar chairs in particular as well as some small lobby and lounge settings and one-seaters generated a lot of interest. "In addition, we offer a total concept for hotels including lighting, carpets and accessories",clarified Aurelie. "All in all, we met many great hospitality partners during EquipHotel. With our total collection, we can serve these parties perfectly."

Positive vibe

With the highly successful Paris Olympics only just behind us, this positive vibe was also evident throughout the trade fair. This unbridled optimism was also evident in the words of Béatrice Gravier, managing director of EquipHotel: "The French hotel sector is in good shape again, with record sales and a return of international clients. We therefore see the future looking bright."

Inspiration

As befits a future-oriented trade fair, this year there was also a special focus on young talent, technological advances and artificial intelligence.

In short, for any professional in the hotel industry, a visit to EquipHotel 2024 was a real happening, after which they returned home with a suitcase full of inspiration and new ideas. Optimistically on their way to 2025!
