Hotel Management School Leeuwarden and Future Ready Hospitality Collective join forces for sustainable future of the hotel industry

Hotel Management School Leeuwarden (HMSL) and Future Ready Hospitality Collective (FRHC) today announced a strategic collaboration that focuses on the sustainable development of the Dutch hotel industry. The collaboration was launched earlier this week and will take immediate shape during the first edition of the sustainability event for the Dutch hotel industry on 20 March 2026 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Central Station.

FRHC welcomes HMSL as a founding partner, giving the educational institution a prominent role within the platform and congress. “This cooperation fits perfectly with our ambition to actively involve students in the sustainable transformation of the hospitality sector,” says Marco Ten Hoor, director of Hotel Management School Leeuwarden. “By collaborating with a progressive party like FRHC, we are creating valuable learning experiences as well as contributing to a future-proof industry.” 

Part of the partnership is a substantive collaboration with the ‘Sustainability in Hospitality and Tourism’ lectureship. In addition, HMSL students will support the event and also participate in the programme themselves. Furthermore, the school will deploy its alumni network to boost ticket sales and make an annual financial contribution.
