De Lola Pods Hotel opens first podhotel in the Netherlands in the heart of The Hague

From 10 July 2025, sleep differently in The Hague. In the Haagse Bluf, De Lola Pods Hotel will open, the first real pod hotel in the Netherlands. No standard rooms, but cosy sleeping pods - compact, stacked cocoons with everything you need for a relaxing stay in the middle of the city. The Lola now brings the smart and efficient sleeping concept - known from world cities like Tokyo, New York and London - to the Netherlands.

Efficient and comfortable

The Lola does not offer traditional hotel rooms, but modern sleeping pods: compact, well-equipped capsules with a comfortable bed, privacy curtain, private lighting, power outlets and smart storage space. Pods are available for one or two people. Sanitary facilities are shared, available 24/7 and meet high hygiene standards.

Perfect location

Located in the centre of The Hague, on the site of the former Foodhallen, De Lola is within walking distance of major cultural and tourist hotspots such as the Binnenhof, the Mauritshuis and the Grote Markt. You can also get to the beach quickly by tram or bike.

Facilities for work and leisure

The Lola features a modern foodwall with fresh and affordable meals and snacks, accessible 24/7. The barista bar is open from 07:00 to 22:00 for coffee and refreshing drinks. In addition, the lounge offers an informal, inspiring environment to work, meet or relax.

A place for connection and inspiration

The Lola is more than a place to sleep; it is a meeting place that fosters creativity and collaboration. Community events are regularly organised where guests can network and exchange ideas. Non-hotel guests are also welcome to use the lounge facilities.

Justus van Dam - General Manager Lola Pods Hotel

Justus van Dam is General Manager of Lola Pods Hotel in The Hague, an innovative hotel concept right in the city centre. Born in Amsterdam and raised in Hilversum, he is the eldest of four brothers and comes from an entrepreneurial family. In 2015, he started at Hotelschool The Hague, where he developed into a strategic thinker with a strong passion for hospitality. During his studies, he won the NXT GM Challenge, a prestigious competition for young hotel talents, which led to his first role as general manager at Postillion Hotel Amersfoort Veluwemeer. Van Dam is particularly proud of Lola's unique concept, which combines 80 sleeping pods with a contemporary food concept and an atmospheric retro 70s-style lobby.
