Artist Pietro Ruffo brings art'otel Rome Piazza Sallustio to life
Each art'otel serves as a blank canvas for a Signature Artist and their art collection. art'otel Rome Piazza Sallustio will be brought to life by renowned Roman artist Pietro Ruffo. In what is a "perfect meeting of minds and creativity", Ruffo will work closely with head designer Eyal Shoan and his studio Digital Space, to create an immersive and stimulating art experience from the moment guests enter.
"The art'otel's collection reveals stories about the different historical layers that have built Rome over the centuries, from the sky above us with a particular focus on constellations, to the flora and fauna we walk on, but also the people who have lived in this city over the different centuries." said Ruffo about art'otel Rome Piazza Sallustio as Rome's new artistic oasis.
Ruffo lives and works in his native Rome, in a studio that, befitting the Italian capital, was once a pasta factory. The theatrical nature of Ruffo's work has led to commissions for major fashion houses, which have engaged the artist for intricate designs that serve as backdrops for the latest haute couture. In 2015, for example, Ruffo designed "a modern Roman forum" for Valentino's shows in Piazza Mignanelli, and since 2017 Ruffo has worked closely with Maria Grazia Chiuri in designing show sets and capsule collections for Dior, with the most recent example being the 2020 Dior Around the World collection.
