Minor Hotels, an international hotel owner, operator and investor with more than 540 hotels in 56 countries across Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Africa, Indian Ocean, Europe, South America and North America, announces its debut in the French capital with the addition of three four-star hotels. Minor Hotels will launch three NH Hotels in Q1 2024, with one of these hotels being renamed NH Collection after a renovation in 2025.
After a careful selection process, the current owner of the hotels, Swiss Life Asset Managers France, has chosen Minor Hotels to manage the three hotels. The addition of these hotels is part of Minor Hotels' strategic growth plans to expand into key cities in Europe. The group debuts in Paris with the 207-room NH Paris Gare de l'Est and the 103-room NH Opéra Paris Faubourg. The third 90-room property opens as NH Paris Champs Elysées. This hotel will be launched as NH Collection after a renovation in 2025.
The three hotels, which will be redecorated first, will have a total of 400 rooms available for travellers in the French capital. The hotels also feature a restaurant and bars, so guests can also enjoy local gastronomy. The hotels are right in the heart of the city, in some of the most famous areas for shopping, dining and sightseeing. Also, the hotels are close to major tourist highlights such as the Louvre, the National Opera and the Champs-Elysées.
Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels and Group CEO of parent company Minor International, said, "Our team has been looking for the right opportunities in this important market for some time, so we are delighted to announce that Minor Hotels, together with Swiss Life Asset Managers France, is coming to Paris with not one but three hotels. We believe this is a great opportunity to grow with two of our brands in the second most visited city in the world and home to the 2024 Olympics."
Johanna Capoani, Head of Hospitality, Swiss Life Asset Managers France, said, "We at Swiss Life Asset Managers France are very pleased to expand our hospitality offering with a management agreement with the well-known and international hospitality group Minor Hotels and to support their arrival in Paris, a major tourist attraction. We believe our synergies will create a new offering under the NH Hotels and NH Collection brands and provide added value to our customers."
The three Paris hotels join Minor Hotels' current French portfolio of six hotels in Marseille, Lyon, Toulouse and Nice. Other recent NH brand openings outside France include NH Collection Milano CityLife in Italy, NH Collection Frankfurt Spin Tower in Germany, NH Collection Maldives Havodda Resort and NH Collection Dubai The Palm in the United Arab Emirates, marking the brand's debut in the Middle East. NH Hotels recently expanded in Italy, Portugal and Thailand with the launches this year of NH Milano Corso Buenos Aires, NH Marina Portimão Resort and NH Boat Lagoon Phuket Resort, the latter representing the brand's introduction in Asia.
Future openings include NH Collection Helsinki Grand Hansa in Finland, NH Collection Chiang Mai in Thailand and NH Collection Luang Prabang in Laos.
