New accommodation in Tyrol combines tradition with modern architecture

From boutique hotels in historic buildings and spectacular children's worlds to exclusive holiday flats and chalets; accommodation providers in Tyrol are investing heavily in the future. The renovations, reopenings and new construction projects for the 2025/26 winter season once again illustrate how versatile the tourism landscape in Tyrol is. Tradition is combined with modern architecture, sustainable concepts and alpine experience worlds.

Hotels - renovations and reopenings

Hotel Kirchenwirt, Feichten in Tiroler Oberland
On 25 December 2025, hotel Kirchenwirt a new extensive spa landscape amid the mountain world of the Kaunertal. Immerse yourself in the infinity pool, relax in the organic and Finnish sauna or steam bath, and unwind in generous relaxation rooms or the sun terrace. The hotel has been modernised step by step, preserving the historic soul of the building.

Boutiquehotel Acherl, Achenkirch on Achensee
The former Pension Panorama has been converted into a modern and cosy Hotel Acherl , which has many amenities for families with children. Besides 29 rooms and suites, you will find a boulder wall, game zone, mini-quad track in summer and toboggan run in winter, a large garden and a generous wellness area, among others. At set times, this is open to the whole family. 

Hotel Traube, Rattenberg in Alpbachtal
After a complete five-year renovation, the tradition-rich hotel in the centre of Rattenberg now opens its doors as a boutique hotel. What was once a town hall of the Bavarian dukes now houses 14 double rooms and four suites (47 beds) and an amazing ‘Traube Loft’ on the top floor.

SChlosshotel Mitterhart, Vomp in Karwendel
The historic Mitterhart castle with restaurant in Vomp was converted into the ‘Schlosshotel Mitterhart’ with a new manor house and 28 additional rooms and suites. History and romantic flair are integrated with contemporary spa suites and comfortable amenities - a successful match between history and modern comfort.

Boutiquehotel ZOMM in Seefeld
Rooms and flats at the small but fine boutique hotel ZOMM in Seefeld has been remodelled for the new winter season. You can not only sleep well there, but also eat well. The kitchen uses regional products from neighbouring farms - and also offers guests cooking courses with top chefs. 

Hotel Quellenhof, Leutasch in Seefeld region
The Quellenhof Leutasch is expanding with a luxurious Grand Panorama Suite #640 in the Quellenhaus. The 156m² suite can accommodate six people and has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and an infrared cabin.

For the kids: From ninja trail to ‘swiftie’-style karaoke bar

Hotel Sonnenhof, Zell am Ziller - Zillertal
The hotel Sonnenhof in the Zillertal was significantly expanded for this season: this includes a new lobby, restaurant and bar as well as a children's and youth area with an ‘indoor ninja warrior course’.

Kinderhotel Kröller, Gerlos - Zillertal
With the ‘Captain K Playworld’, the traditional family hotel Kröller in the Zillertal from now on will have an indoor adventure world with an area of 500 m². The trampoline park, a go-kart track, CycloBeat and other mixed-reality facilities cater to the needs of older children and teenagers.

Almhof Family Resort, Gerlos - Zillertal
The multi-award-winning Almhof Family Resort in Zillertal introduces the new adventure land ‘ALMI-opolis’, in the style of an Alpine village and a climbing course. And there will be more: including its own Almhof Theatre, a ‘Swiftie style’ karaoke bar, billiards and darts.

Gasthaus Traube, Hopfgarten - Kitzbühel Alps - Ferienregion Hohe Salve
The monumental building in the centre of Hopfgarten - also called ‘Zipfelwirt’ by locals because of its location - has been completely renovated. Now it houses six modern holiday flats for four to six people.

Kristall Apartments, Neustift - Stubaital
The former guesthouse in Neustift in the Stubai Valley has been converted into a modern apartment complex. Spacious, contemporary furnished rooms with natural materials from the region, based on an eco-friendly building concept. The location is perfect for winter sports enthusiasts: near all slopes, trails, mountain peaks and alpine farms.

SkiWelt Lodge, Brixen im Thale - Kitzbüheler Alpen - Brixental
