Novotel expands European presence with new hotels in Malta and Croatia

Novotel continues to expand its global brand in Europe. With recent openings in Spain, France and Germany, and for the first time in Malta and Croatia, the brand is strengthening its position on the continent.

Since its creation in 1967, Novotel has been known for its comfortable and accessible hotels, aimed at both business travellers and families. The brand now has nearly 600 hotels in more than 60 countries, with another 180+ hotels in the pipeline. With more than 300 hotels in 24 countries in Europe alone, the latest additions are a testament to the brand's solid growth strategy across the continent.

New and recently opened Novotels in Europe

Novotel Valencia Lavant (Spain)

This recently opened hotel is centrally located in Valencia, close to the iconic Palacio de Congresos. It has 370 elegant rooms and sophisticated interiors designed by the internationally renowned Sundukovy Sisters. The new 11-storey hotel has a stunning rooftop bar with terrace and swimming pool. Guests and locals can enjoy a refined culinary experience at Papúa Valencia restaurant, which serves both local and international delicacies. Business travellers can benefit from extensive coworking spaces and eight flexible meeting rooms.

Novotel Malta Sliema (Malta)

Novotel debuts in Malta with a stunning waterfront hogel and is expected to welcome its first guests next summer. Located a short distance from Valletta, it offers 293 modern rooms, a panoramic rooftop pool with spacious bar and terrace ideal for enjoying the sun. The new property has a modern wellness centre with heated indoor pool, gym, sauna, treatment rooms and jacuzzi. Furthermore, the hotel can host events of any size thanks to its conference facilities and flexible meeting rooms.

Novotel Zagreb (Croatia)

This new 170-room hotel opens in Croatia in May. Designed with balance and relaxation in mind, Novotel Zagreb offers an extensive wellness centre with gym, hammam and sauna, in addition to a garden and terrace to relax and enjoy the picturesque views of the capital. Business guests benefit from 700 m² of state-of-the-art conference space, equipped for a variety of events, from large conferences to intimate gatherings. Conveniently located just 20 minutes from Franjo Tuđman International Airport, the hotel is the perfect gateway for visiting Zagreb.

Novotel Hamburg HafenCity (Germany)

The hotel is located in the lively HafenCity district, just minutes from iconic sights such as the Elbphilharmonie, Speicherstadt, the Kontorhaus district and the famous Reeperbahn. The hotel offers 163 stylish rooms with a modern design and high-quality amenities that ensure greater guest comfort. Restaurant and bar Nova offers traditional dishes and a selection of local beers. Novotel Hamburg HafenCity is expected to open later this year, joining the 26 Novotel hotels already operational in Germany.

Novotel Paris La Déf Nanterre (France)

With 170 rooms and 4,000 m² of meeting space, this hotel will be a new hotspot in the dynamic La Défense business district. The hotel features elegant and contemporary interiors and a trendy restaurant and bar. Together with easy access to the centre of Paris, the hotel will become a key venue for events organised in this area. The hotel will open its doors this summer.
