Push Beyond. Integrated Systems Europe 2026, the globally renowned annual technology trade fair for the audiovisual and systems integration industry, will take place at the Fira de Barcelona, Gran Via, from 3 to 6 February. The edition promises a spectacular experience that breaks boundaries and reshapes possibilities.

For smart buildings and hotel technology, ISE 2026 means more than just innovation. It is a leap into the future. A key component is the Smart Building Summit, which will highlight how technology is reshaping the locations where we stay, live, work and connect. In 2026, the conversation shifts to intelligent environments where integration and innovation turn bold ideas into everyday reality and improve the customer experience from the moment they enter the premises.
In Halls 1 and 2, the Residential and Smart Building Tech Zone showcases the industry's leading thought leaders and companies. From IoT devices and artificial intelligence-powered building management systems to developments in lighting, HVAC, security and energy, this zone showcases the full spectrum of smart building technology and the technological advances taking place within the hospitality sector. Each solution has been selected for its ability to optimise, automate and personalise environments, enabling tailored experiences for every customer.

Demonstrations showcase spaces where lighting, energy, audio and security work seamlessly together in real time. Key exhibitors include Technology Integration Partners with stand number 2J500, which will present a portfolio of design-oriented technologies with brands such as Domotz, Russound and D Tools. They emphasise the interplay between smart energy management and accurate network monitoring. ADI and Snap One in combination with Control4 with stand number 2J150 will introduce powerful platforms for networked control, automation and remote management that support a wide range of connected devices and use cases. The KNX Association with stand number 2J300 showcases the latest standards for building management, setting new criteria for interoperability, automation and personalisation.
Alongside smart building technology, digital signage plays an important role in the hospitality sector, where it serves signage, information and marketing purposes. The Digital Signage and DooH, Digital Out of Home, Tech Zone in Hall 4 during ISE 2026 will be a major crowd puller, reflecting the impressive growth of the sector. The zone presents a comprehensive range of cutting-edge solutions, ranging from next-generation displays and advanced content management platforms to immersive audiovisual technologies designed to captivate, inform and engage audiences in retail, transport, education, business environments, hospitality and the public sector.
Visitors can expect innovations such as extremely bright outdoor displays, interactive indoor signage and the latest OLED developments that seamlessly merge digital and physical worlds. The emphasis is on personalisation and audience engagement, with intelligent, software-driven content delivery, programmatic advertising and mobile integration ensuring real-time tuned experiences.

Sustainability and operational efficiency remain central, with technologies that reduce environmental footprint, extend product life and enable remote management for greener operations. The zone also showcases touchless and smart solutions such as voice-activated screens, sensor-controlled content triggers and QR integration that create intuitive and hygienic user experiences, which is essential in modern public spaces. Together, the Digital Signage and DooH Tech Zone offers not only an overview of the latest innovations but also a glimpse into the future of connected, intelligent and sustainable communication.
All this contributes to one of the key megatrends of ISE 2026, namely artificial intelligence. Audiovisual technology and artificial intelligence are converging, creating intelligent environments that are intuitive, immersive and highly human-centric, especially in the hospitality sector. Think of a hotel lobby where lighting subtly moves with the time of day, digital art responds to your presence and check-in is seamless without queues or keycards, but with facial recognition and a personalised greeting on a screen. Audiovisual technologies come together to create immersive brand stories in lobbies, lounges and event spaces, all to be discovered on ISE's exhibition floor.
A second megatrend is Smart Spaces. These are environments that adapt to people, integrate devices and data, and combine efficiency with well-being. ISE 2026 will show how the smart building ecosystem is pushing boundaries and developing spaces that are intelligent, sustainable and future-ready.
