The redevelopment of Hotel van Oranje and Residences van Oranje on the Koningin Wilhelminaboulevard in Noordwijk is in full swing. The RVO Residences I BV consortium, a collaboration between Van Deursen Group, Dreef Beheer and Ramphastos Investments, has made great strides in recent months to give the project new shape and direction.
In recent months, a lot of hard work has gone into building a strong foundation. "The team is in place, the course is clear and implementation is coming into sight," says Jeroen Quist, spokesperson on behalf of the consortium. "That gives confidence and energy to press on." Together with the design team, led by Diederik van Egmond of van Egmond, architects, and INENI Architecture, the plans for both the residences and the hotel have been further developed and tailored to the intended quality and appearance.
Preparations for the five-star hotel are in full swing. Talks with the building contractor are in the final stages. Construction is expected to start after the summer. Final talks are also being held with the intended hotel operator. The consortium expects to announce more before the summer.
Concrete steps have also been taken on the residences side with the design team and contractor. The plans have been further finalised and the sales documentation is currently being finalised. Sales of the first flats are expected to start around summer. "This is a special place by the sea with a rich history," says Diederik van Egmond of van Egmond, architects. "We are proud to be able to add something new to it. With a feeling for the past and the wishes of today."
With this redevelopment, the Noordwijk promenade will regain its grandeur. Hotel guests and future residents will soon be able to enjoy the best the coast has to offer, in a place where living, hospitality and style come together.
