The Koepelterrein in Haarlem has reached a new phase. With the completion of the Metzlr House hotel and the expansion of restaurant Menu Corridor, the area is getting another solid quality boost.
The hotel is housed in three carefully restored monumental buildings on the forecourt of The Dome: the former administration building, the director's house and the deputy director's house. These have been combined with part new construction. A total of 66 hotel rooms have been realised. At the same time, restaurant Menu Corridor, which has been operating successfully for two years, has been expanded with additional space and possibilities.
"With this special project, we are not only adding high-quality accommodation and hospitality functions to Haarlem, but also giving new life to three valuable monuments," said Maaike Uttien of HBB Group. "And besides a final completion, this is also a beginning. We remain, as co-owners and co-operators, closely involved."
With the completion of the hotel and expansion of the restaurant, the area has entered a new phase. In the coming period, further steps will be taken in the development of the Dome site. HBB Group will start the realisation of the underground car park. Following this, the final part of the Koepel area will go into execution, consisting of flats for students (DUWO) and social rental flats (Elan Wonen).
Step by step, the Koepelterrein thus continues to grow into a vibrant place in Haarlem, where living, working, learning, recreation and accommodation come together in a unique historical setting.
