The municipality of Terneuzen is to host 32 Ukrainians at Hotel Triniteit. Neighbours will receive a letter explaining that decision today.
The municipality rents the hotel from the future owner. "There is still a need for reception places for Ukrainians. The shelter is full and Zeeland still has a large effort obligation to fill," the municipality writes.
According to the municipality, these are 32 displaced persons from Ukraine who are already being accommodated in the Netherlands. They also already have jobs. There will be an information evening for local residents next week.
It is the third hotel in Terneuzen to be used for temporary accommodation. It has previously been done with Hotel l'Escaut on the Scheldekade and in former Hotel Tollenique and café pension The Chandelier.
