From today, booq, the software platform that has provided solutions for the hospitality industry since 2010, continues under the name DISH. This name change marks an important step in the international growth and development of the smart hospitality platform, while the goal remains unchanged: to support entrepreneurs in delivering the best guest experience.
Fifteen years ago, Eijsink started developing the booq software platform, which is now used by over 10,000 customers. Under the banner of the international METRO AG, of which Eijsink has been a part since 2022, booq solutions are successfully rolled out in European countries such as Germany, France, Italy and Spain under the name DISH. By now also using this name, logo and associated visual identity in the Netherlands, a uniform brand identity is established that reflects the commitment to the hospitality industry and reinforces the focus on simplicity, flexibility and security.
Joost Snellink, Managing Director of Eijsink, sees this as a logical step forward: "We are proud of what we as Eijsink have achieved with booq, and together with our customers, in recent years. With the rebranding to DISH, we are preparing ourselves for a future in which we can better respond to the needs of our customers. By focusing on the development of a single software platform, we can develop more effectively, innovate faster and roll out new features more often. This is not only very nice for our customers, but also essential to stay ahead."
Nothing will change about the usability and reliability of the platform. "We still stand 100% behind our booq solutions. Therefore, all solutions will continue to exist and continue to work in the same way. This way, we make the transition to DISH as smooth as possible," said Joost Snellink.
What does change is that the DISH solutions will have a new name and look: the pink of booq will give way to the orange of DISH. The new look and feel of the DISH software will be rolled out in phases over the coming period. In addition, DISH will show its innovative strength by adding new functionalities in its solutions. Moreover, the new brand and its mission, strategy and offering will attract a broader target audience. "It is our mission to support the entire hospitality industry with our solutions, and with the introduction of two new products - Instapkassa and Pay Now - we are reinforcing this mission," said Joost Snellink.
