Last night, Koninklijke Horeca Nederland region Limburg launched the ‘Vision on hospitable Limburg 2030’. A joint ambition to position Limburg as the most hospitable province in the Netherlands. With a clear course, three powerful pillars and a concrete roadmap, the sector is committed to quality, cooperation and future-proofing. The vision was handed over by Rudy Gommans, president of Koninklijke Horeca Nederland region Limburg, to Stephan Satijn, deputy of the province of Limburg.
Three pillars for 2030
The vision rests on three strategic pillars:
“The implementation of the vision requires intensive cooperation between entrepreneurs, educational institutions, governments and industry organisations. Only by acting together can the sector increase its impact and structurally contribute to an attractive living, working and living environment in Limburg. We are therefore proud of this vision and look forward to realising it together”, said KHN chairman region Limburg Rudy Gommans.
To realise the ambition, a roadmap has been drawn up with concrete short-term actions and for the next five years. These include:
The hospitality sector is under pressure due to, among other things, an ageing population, staff shortages, changing visitor behaviour and the need for sustainability. These developments call for a joint approach, with one clear direction and a strong, recognisable story. The vision serves as a compass to future-proof the sector and strengthen its position
