For the total renovation of the Astoria hotel the owners called on architectural firm Project Five EN mINT architecture. The beautiful Art Deco hotel with its 65 rooms was completely restored, and in just four months.
The interior became a challenge, as they wanted to extend the impressive grandeur of the exterior into the interior, with attention to comfort and luxury in a contemporary setting as well as with touches of the past, says Danny Hoorelbeke (Project Five). In the corridors, double walls were installed with the Clicwall system in the H265 V1A Dainty Oak café noir. This design also continued in the furnishing of the rooms. They combined the Dainty Oak design in the open-plan cabinets with brass accents and black.
