'Extend a hotel's luxury experience outside'

Exclusive and functional outdoor design

The hospitality sector is all about experience. Hotels and restaurants are therefore increasingly investing in stylish interiors and exteriors to create an unforgettable experience for their guests. This can be done, for example, with the design furniture for outdoor areas by Italian brand Talenti Outdoor. Importer Marco van Loon explains what makes Talenti unique and why their products are so suitable for hotels and restaurants.

Talenti Outdoor is now 20 years old and the family-run company operates in more than 60 countries. It is firmly establishing itself internationally in the hotel sector and is also looking to expand its operations in the Netherlands. According to Van Loon, external designers' designs are one of Talenti's main strengths. "We work with leading designers such as Ludovica + Roberto Palomba, Christophe Pillet, Karim Rashid and Marco Acerbis. Their unique vision is reflected in our collections. That makes the furniture truly unique and distinctive."

The focus on collaborating with designers ensures that each Talenti collection has its own signature, while the series can also be easily combined with each other. "This is an important advantage for hotels and restaurants, which are often looking for a complete and consistent look for their outdoor spaces. Unlike with other brands, our collections are always complete, so our customers can choose lounge furniture, dining sets, loungers and accessories from the same series."

Easily create an exclusive atmosphere

Talenti's products are designed to be not only stylish, but also functional. This makes them ideal for hotels and restaurants looking to offer a high-quality look without sacrificing convenience. "For hotels, both boutique hotels and larger chains, our furniture is an excellent choice. With a beautiful lounge area or sun loungers, hotels can easily create an exclusive atmosphere," says Van Loon. "Sometimes you see that hotels' outdoor areas are beautifully decorated, but they use simple, plastic loungers. That really detracts from the experience. We offer a solution where the outdoor areas feel as luxurious as the interiors."

Van Loon continues: "Our furniture is designed to look great both indoors and outdoors. This means that you can extend the same style from the restaurant or conservatory to the outside, ensuring a seamless transition and a uniform look."

Sample project: Cape of Senses

Recently, Talenti Outdoor was involved in the new five-star Cape of Senses hotel on Lake Garda in Italy. Furniture from Talenti's Casilda and Moon Teak collections was chosen to furnish the restaurant terrace and spa. These collections are characterised by their natural teak textures, and can be used both outdoors and indoors.

"For the wellness area, loungers from the Argo collection were used, designed to withstand moisture, salt and temperature changes. This furniture combines comfort with durability, which is essential in hotel environments where intensive use and exposure to the elements are the norm. Thanks to innovative materials such as Quick Dry Foam, the cushions dry quickly and are resistant to moisture."

Flexibility in design and personalisation

Another big advantage for hotels and restaurants is the flexibility in design and personalisation. "We offer standard finishes, but in our Icon series, customers can choose from any colour, making special projects with unique requirements possible. For example, we also supply furniture for superyachts, where the same fabrics are often requested for both inside and outside."

In the Netherlands, Talenti has already completed some interesting projects, such as restaurant Copain in Den Bosch, which wanted to create a distinctive Italian atmosphere with striking red accents in the furniture. For this, products from Palomba's Frame collection were chosen. This shows that the Dutch market, too, is increasingly in demand for unique design and colours that go beyond neutral shades. "The interior design professional now dares to choose other colours and that offers great opportunities for us," says Van Loon.
