HotelloTOP celebrates 20-year anniversary

On Wednesday 15 January 2025, HotelloTOP will celebrate its 20th anniversary at the HotelloTOP Year Event at RAI Amsterdam. With the theme Hotello Pride this edition is all about connection, inspiration and pride. Hotello's are known for building bridges and forging lasting relationships. With this theme, the anniversary conference will focus on the qualities of these relationship builders and reflect on 20 years of connection and change.

Keynote by Lammert Kamphuis

Philosopher and best-selling author Lammert Kamphuis will provide an inspiring keynote during the event. He offers insights and techniques to step out of our tunnel vision. How can philosophical perspectives help strengthen connections and flexible thinking?

TOP Talks

A regular feature of the event is the TOP Talk, the 'Ten Minutes of Passion'. In it, three generations of Hotello's share their personal stories that reflect the theme Hotello Pride touch and bring their passion to life. This year, the following speakers will perform:

• Charles van Goch (HMSM '94), initiator of HotelloTOP, talks about the unique Hotello DNA and why we can be proud of our history.
• Caroline van Kessel (HMSM '08), hotel manager at Pulitzer Amsterdam, shares her passion for hospitality and highlights how she creates energy and connection within her team.
• Jeannot Peijen (HMSL '19), sustainability manager at EW Facility Services, talks about sustainability, social cohesion and his book I would have loved to tell you how my day was.

Hotello of the Year Award 2025

The battle for the title Hotello of the Year is in full swing. During the conference, the winner will be announced, who will receive the Award in recognition of his or her exceptional contribution to the hospitality industry. Votes can be cast for the three finalists until 20 December:

• Matthijs Welle (HTH '04), CEO of Mews.
• Rachelle Persoon (HTH '11), owner of Typhoon Hospitality.
• Gregor Christiaans (HTH '93), chairman and founder of the Amsterdam International Olive Oil Competition.
