Zien Group, the corporate parent company of Eden Hotels, today opens Jan Luyken, a boutique hotel located in a historic mansion in the centre of Amsterdam. This is the first independent project to be opened by Zien Group.
After a multi-million dollar investment and renovation, Zien Group renovated the historic property into a mansion that feels like a second home. Jan Luyken features 62 bedrooms and several communal areas where guests can lounge, work and exercise as they would at home.
Billy Skelli-Cohen, CEO of Zien Group said, "Jan Luyken is the first project to reopen outside Eden Hotels' portfolio, a very happy time for our team. We will continue to renovate and refine our current portfolio to realise its full potential. In addition, we continue to look for growth opportunities within Europe."
Jan Luyken is housed in a townhouse in the cultural heart of Amsterdam, centrally located between the iconic Museumplein and P.C. Hooftstraat. Amsterdam-based interior design studio Nicemakers designed the stylish interior of the common areas on the ground floor. The inspiration for the design comes from the dynamics of the city with a link to Dutch craftsmanship.
The library, overlooking the garden, has a large selection of art books on its shelves, with a nod to the nearby Rijksmuseum. The mansion's living kitchen is a relaxed and open space for guests to use throughout the day. Just like home. Breakfast includes local and seasonal produce and artisanal pastries. Homemade snacks and drinks are available throughout the day. This is all included in the stay. The gym has beautiful cork walls, handmade wooden fitness equipment by NOHrD and overlooks the courtyard garden. There is a choice of several hotel rooms, from small to medium or a studio. The studio has its own private entrance.
The bedrooms are equipped with comfortable beds and carefully selected bedding and upholstery by Amsterdam brand Elle-La in collaboration with Dutch interior designer Bonnie Barlag. Stylish drip coffee, soft bathrobes and CODAGE care products complete the stay.
With the efficiency of mobile check-in and the convenience of a digital key, people no longer check-in in the traditional way. This allows Jan Luyken's hosts to welcome guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, as if visiting a friend's house.
The hosts are always ready to help guests, share local knowledge and ensure an unforgettable stay. An overnight stay at Jan Luyken starts from €245 per person. For more information, please visit www.janluykenamsterdam.com.
