Major refurbishment completed for WestCord Hotel Eindhoven

WestCord Hotels invests in complete renovation of rooms, lobby and restaurant in heart of Eindhoven

WestCord Hotel Eindhoven has completed the major refurbishment of the Mathilde Tower. The work took almost 10 months, during which the rooms in the tower were completely gutted and rebuilt.

The hotel in the centre of Eindhoven now features refurbished rooms and suites in the Mathilde Tower, a redesigned lobby and an updated restaurant and bar function. The other half of the hotel rooms, located in the adjacent, historic Lichttoren, have had a refresh. The reopening of the hotel was festively celebrated on 6 November with business associates, partners and other guests.

Renewed rooms

The revamped rooms have a calm, bright feel with the use of warm, sustainable materials. WestCord Hotel Eindhoven offers one of the largest hotel rooms in the city, with spacious bathrooms and a separate sitting area and - in the special spa rooms - a whirlpool bath.

During the renovation, the focus was on more efficient use of space and future-proof operation. For instance, energy-efficient installations and LED lighting were chosen, all rooms were air-conditioned with modern control technology and water-saving showers were installed.

Public spaces

The renovation is also clearly visible in the lobby and Brasserie Lumen. With the new interior, layout and materials used, WestCord Hotel Eindhoven aims to tell the story of the city in the hotel. Eindhoven, also called the Light City of the Netherlands, is known as a centre of technology and design, and this identity is an important starting point for the hotel.
