Live jazz, DJs and local talent turn the hotel into a cultural hub during the festival weekend
During the North Sea Jazz weekend, the Haven Hotel Rotterdam, Curio Collection by Hilton, transforms into a vibrant stage where the festival’s energy lives on well into the night. From 10 to 12 July, the hotel is presenting a free three-day music programme featuring live performances by leading jazz musicians from Rotterdam, interspersed with DJ sets. With this programme, Haven Hotel underlines its ambition to become a cultural meeting place where guests, Rotterdam residents and music lovers come together.
Situated in the heart of Rotterdam, a short distance from Ahoy and the city’s cultural hotspots, the Haven Hotel Rotterdam serves as a natural meeting place during North Sea Jazz for visitors wishing to extend their festival experience. Every evening kicks off with a DJ set, followed by a mix of live performances and music that continues into the early hours.
On Friday 10 July, the Brintex Quintet will kick off the programme. Led by Rotterdam-based keyboardist Brenn Luiten, the band represents a new generation of Dutch jazz. Drawing on influences from the vibrant British jazz scene, they blend contemporary jazz with hip-hop, broken beat and soulful electronica.
On Saturday 11 July, the Efe Erdem Quartet will take to the stage. Efe Erdem, a trombonist originally from Turkey, became a well-known figure on the Rotterdam jazz scene after completing his studies at Codarts. His quartet performs a personal blend of modern jazz, soulful improvisation and international influences.
On Sunday 12 July, the weekend will draw to a close with a dynamic collaboration between a DJ and a live musician, combining electronic beats and live improvisation in a contemporary take on jazz.
The North Sea Jazz weekend fits in perfectly with the cultural direction that Haven Hotel Rotterdam has been pursuing recently. With initiatives such as the Curio Art Project and the programme A Night at the Gallery The hotel is increasingly becoming a venue where art, music, gastronomy and the city come together.

With this three-day programme, Haven Hotel invites both hotel guests and visitors to North Sea Jazz to round off the festival weekend in a special way: with live music, delicious cocktails and views of the historic Leuvehaven.
