An inspiring and connecting platform that accelerates the sustainability of the hotel industry
Today proudly launches the "Future Ready Hospitality Collective": a unique new platform that facilitates sustainable transformation within the hotel industry by connecting hotels with a collection of sustainable and innovative impact makers who want to permanently change the hotel industry. The platform provides a central place full of inspiration, information and concrete solutions that will enable hotels to reduce their environmental footprint, increase their social impact and contribute to a future-proof industry.
Co-founder Linden Borger explains, "Through the platform, hotels can perform targeted searches for initiatives and products that match their sustainability ambitions. The search functionality is based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and various filters such as themes (energy, water, mobility, food & drink, material use, biodiversity, health & well-being and society & culture). This allows hoteliers to quickly find relevant solutions from certified partners that contribute to future-proof operations in all areas."
Future Ready Hospitality Collective responds to an urgent need: the sustainability of the hotel industry still receives hardly any structural attention at existing trade fairs in the Netherlands and the many suppliers often struggle to find their way to hotels. This platform fills that gap and offers a professional, up-to-date and reliable alternative. "This initiative is "long overdue" and simply desperately needed," said co-founder Marielle van Gorp. "We want to help the sector become truly future-ready - not just with fine words, but with concrete action."
The collective aims to grow into a network of 50 to 80 sustainable and innovative impact makers within the first year . From this community, a conference will be organised in early 2026, including CEO panel, keynotes, workshops and a trade floor where hotel industry decision-makers can connect directly with providers on the platform. "We are building an ecosystem where collaboration is key," says co-founder Jorien Licht-Geerts. "By pooling knowledge and innovation, we make sustainable choices accessible and attractive to the whole sector."
Hotel Jakarta: "Future Ready Hospitality Collective is exactly what the industry needs" Also Frank Tuhusula, General Manager of Hotel Jakarta Amsterdam - regarded by many as one of the most sustainable hotels in the Netherlands - sees the platform as an important step forward: "At Hotel Jakarta, we have been committed to sustainability for years - from our energy-neutral ambitions to community-focused initiatives. But we can't do this alone. The Future Ready Hospitality Collective finally offers hoteliers a central place where inspiration and practical solutions come together. Just what we need to truly future-proof our industry."
