Luxury at your own pace

With its contemporary approach to hospitality, the Palace Hotel offers guests the freedom to design their stay as they wish. Smart technologies allow them to select, book and check in their room at their convenience. Even during their stay, everything is at their own pace. A good glass of wine, a fresh juice or something sweet are freely accessible and can be paid for themselves via a user-friendly system. This guest-driven service offers comfort and flexibility, while personal attention is always at your fingertips. The hotel combines the best of both worlds: independence and privacy with the warmth and care that make a boutique hotel so special.

A homely atmosphere in a historic setting

The hotel has 24 stylish rooms, divided into Cozy, Deluxe and Superior categories. Some rooms feature a French balcony or private terrace, while others overlook the serene courtyard garden. Warm tones, refined fabrics and elegant materials create an inviting atmosphere. The rooms feature box-spring beds, luxurious Egyptian bed linen and modern amenities, allowing guests to fully unwind in a homely environment in the middle of the city.

The lobby as a living room

The lobby is designed as a modern living room, a place where guests can retreat to read, work or relax with a good glass of wine and local delicacies. Breakfast consists of organic and local produce, including freshly baked rolls from 't Bakkertje (a Hague household name) around the corner and fruit juices from organic farm Hoeve Biesland. During the day, there is plenty of space to enjoy - at your own pace - sweets, a drinks board or just a moment to yourself. Everything feels familiar and inviting, like visiting a good friend. Not for nothing is the motto of ARQ Hotels: 'Welcome home to our house'.

A building full of stories

The monumental building on Molenstraat has a rich history dating back to the 17th century. In the 19th century, writer Louis Couperus stayed there regularly and drew inspiration for his literary work. The building still houses traces of the past, such as former secret passages to nearby convents. The Palace Hotel retains this historical charm, while at the same time being fully equipped for the modern traveller.

ARQ Hotels: newcomer with ambition

ARQ Hotels' journey began with the acquisition of the Paleis Hotel in The Hague in September 2024 and expanded in January 2025 with the addition of Kloosterhotel de Soete Moeder in Den Bosch. Led by Nicoline Montanus (former Eden Hotels), the ambition is to grow into a collection of 20 unique boutique hotels within a few years, in which small scale, character and hospitality are central. Each hotel has its own story, but shares the same philosophy: quality and innovation in perfect balance.
