On Monday 30 June, a new dynamic wine event will take place at Postillion Hotel Amsterdam: Amsterdam Uncorked, an initiative of Pitch PR. During the day there will be an opportunity for wine professionals to meet 75 winemakers and brands, and in the evening consumers may come and taste. At this one-day event, both established wine regions and emerging wine countries will present their wines to importers, retailers, sommeliers, chefs, buyers, journalists and in the evening to wine lovers.
The event will be festively opened by Master of Wine Cees van Casteren, followed by an interesting panel discussion on how could it be otherwise: wine! During the day, various master classes will be available for wine professionals. The evening programme is dedicated to 'Best of Ribera del Duero', led by wine writer Harold Hamersma. Wine lovers can attend three short masterclasses, but can also help decide on the Top 10 Best of Ribera del Duero through a blind tasting.
Meanwhile, registration for Amsterdam Uncorked has opened and visitors can sign up. A visit to Amsterdam Uncorked is free for wine professionals and costs just €10.00 euros for consumers. This amount includes 4 tokens for which consumers get 4 tasting glasses of wine. Registration for Amsterdam Uncorked is possible via this link.
This brand new initiative by Pitch PR was born out of the growing need for specialised and emerging wine regions to present their wines in the Netherlands. On the other hand, the diaries of wine professionals are always very full due to the many tastings, importers' initiatives and trade fairs. Hence, we combine all participating regions and wine countries to create a win-win for both wine producers and visitors. 150 visitors are expected at Amsterdam Uncorked.
The first edition of Amsterdam Uncorked takes place at Postillion Hotel in Amsterdam, the programme is as follows:
11:00 - 18:00 - Wine professionals (free entry)
18:00 - 21:00 - Consumers (€10.00 entry, but will receive 4 tokens worth €2.50 each for this, which they can redeem for 4 tasting glasses of wine)
Both wine professionals and consumers can register via this link.
The following wine countries and wine regions were featured on Amsterdam Uncorked:

During the day, various master classes will be provided by the wine countries/regions present. These are open to all visitors to the event with free entry. Please note, full=full.
