A bathtub that was once the focal point of the bathroom no longer always matches its daily use. Less time, other needs or reduced accessibility can lead to the bath being used less and less and the desire for a spacious walk-in shower increasing. Preferably without extensive bathroom renovation. Precisely for that situation, Geberit is introducing three new sizes within the Sestra shower floor series. These sizes are specially designed to replace a bath almost one-to-one. Bath out, Sestra in. And without much fuss or weeks of renovation. An upgrade that is practical and immediately adds comfort.

The characteristic Sestra shower floor is known for its visible and tactile stone structure. The robust stone resin with durable gelcoat feels warm to the feet, is highly scratch-resistant and, thanks to the profile, offers exceptional grip with the highest anti-slip class C. The result is a walk-in shower that radiates luxury, but above all feels familiar and safe for young, old and everything in between.
The new Sestra versions make it possible to replace a bathtub with a modern shower, without breaking open the entire bathroom. Because the shower floor largely covers the size of the bath, the existing floor and wall finishes remain mostly intact. That means: less demolition work, less construction time, lower costs and less inconvenience.

The extra-long shower floors are available in the same three popular colours as the existing Sestra sizes: white, stone grey and graphite. These colours are in perfect harmony with the slate texture of the surface and combine stylishly with both matt and glossy bathroom tiles and accessories.
With the addition of the extra-long sizes 170×80 cm, 170×90 cm and 180×90 cm, the Sestra shower floor range now comprises a wide range of sizes, ranging from compact square models to generous rectangular variants. In addition, Sestra can be either seamlessly integrated into the floor or raised, making the shower floor a suitable solution for almost any bathroom layout, renovation demand and style preference.
The Sestra shower floor has no corners or ridges where water and dirt can remain. This makes the shower floor easy to clean. The water is led in one smooth motion to the narrow integrated floor channel, where there is a comb-shaped hair sieve under the drain cap. This prevents clogging of the siphon and is very easy to clean. In addition, a particularly flat siphon ensures efficient water drainage, even with flush installation.
Whether the bathroom gets a complete makeover or the bath gives way to a shower: the extra-long Sestra shower floor creates a comfortable, generous walk-in shower with minimal intervention.
