New campaign image 10th edition Gastvrij Rotterdam puts hospitality professional centre stage

The hospitality trade fair Gastvrij Rotterdam will celebrate its 10th edition in Rotterdam Ahoy from 18 to 20 September 2023. To mark the occasion, a new campaign image focusing on the hospitality professional has been developed. 

Robert Melaard, managing director of Gastvrij Rotterdam: "In the new campaign, the 5 personas each represent a primary visitor target group of Gastvrij Rotterdam. From hospitality entrepreneur to manager, from (chef) cook to bartender and of course the maître or sommelier. With the new image, we put the spotlight on the most important groups of professionals we receive on the trade fair floor in large numbers every year. In doing so, we incorporate in the image how diverse the offer of our exhibitors is for those catering professionals. The hospitality professional is central to us in everything we do, so too in the themes and programme we offer on the show floor."

Gastvrij Rotterdam: source of inspiration for all visitors

The upcoming 10th edition is expected to be the biggest edition yet. On the exhibition floor, visitors will find the main trends in the sector and a complete range of food and non-food suppliers on the show floor. 

Besides the six themed pavilions that respond to, for example, plant-based products or current sustainability trends, the programme offers many well-known competitions, such as the Dutch final of the world's most important cooking competition, the Bocuse D'Or. New this year is the final of the Gastronomic Guild's Green Chef's Hat. This the first major professional vegetable cooking competition in the Netherlands. 

Ambitious trade visitors who want to learn more can also attend tastings, workshops or demonstrations by top chefs and sommeliers. Robert Melaard: "A visit to the fair on one of the three days in September guarantees inspiration and meaningful meetings with fellow professionals. Catering professionals can go into the winter season full of energy after this."
