Sauna, spa and wellness: KLAFS sets standards to perfectly integrate preventive health and relaxation into hotels
KLAFS, like no other manufacturer in the industry, stands for innovation, design and quality. As the world market leader in saunas and with more than 800 employees, KLAFS has realised and installed more than 240,000 KLAFS saunas worldwide for almost a century. With inventive ingenuity, original ideas, dedication and first-class craftsmanship, sauna bathing has been perfected - and new opportunities for relaxation and good health have been created in the sauna, spa and wellness segment. In a hectic world, these unique innovations create places of retreat, active recreation and strengthening preventive health. When further developing the portfolio, responsible use of resources always goes hand in hand.
Powerful design and a reliable brand
Quality, aesthetics and innovativeness meet customer needs, demands and essence. This strategy is one of the reasons for the global success of KLAFS. Its mission: to create spaces of relaxation for body and mind, supporting a contemporary and health-oriented lifestyle. Highly aesthetic design, extraordinary elegance, the sense of proportion and materials as well as the experience in the room, create a sense of security. With this in mind, KLAFS has repeatedly collaborated with big names from the world of design, creating design icons with a style all their own.
Diverse portfolio - realised from a single source
KLAFS realises luxury spa projects worldwide in the professional sector through a wide range of wellness products. The range includes everything imaginable in the field of wellness. When implementing customised solutions, customers get everything from a single source: from comprehensive advice, design and planning to installation and maintenance; KLAFS takes care of the entire project.
Craftsmanship meets cutting-edge technology
KLAFS has traditionally manufactured in Schwäbisch Hall, Germany. This is where tradition, extraordinary craftsmanship and state-of-the-art technology come together. The wood - a core material in sauna construction - comes from certified sources that meet high ecological and social standards. The careful selection of the material for the manufacture of each individual KLAFS product is subject to the highest quality standards. This is how sustainable wellness oases are created. Because a KLAFS sauna accompanies you for many years - for KLAFS the most effective form of sustainability.
Careful use of resources
Sustainable operations and sauna enjoyment go hand in hand. With new technologies, such as the KLAFS Green Sauna, KLAFS offers its customers energy-efficient solutions for their wellness areas. KLAFS saunas are already equipped with efficient and sustainable heaters, optimal thermal insulation and intelligent controls. In addition, demand-oriented ventilation via the KLAFS climate manager or special insulating glass fronts are developments by KLAFS, which have a positive impact on the energy balance. KLAFS saunas have therefore been the only ones in the industry to be awarded the German Blue Angel eco-label for years.
Wellness with tradition
The foundation stone was laid in 1928 by Erich Klafs in Szczecin in present-day Poland. His company sold products for medical bath therapy. After the end of World War II, Erich Klafs moved his company to Schwäbisch Hall in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. In 1952, he had the first fully prefabricated sauna made and delivered it with his car and a small transport trailer. He then took sauna production into his own hands. The site was expanded several times in the following years and became the current headquarters of the KLAFS Group. In addition to subsidiaries in Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Spain and Poland, the group grew by acquiring several companies, which rounded off the portfolio into a total supplier for saunas, swimming pools and spas. KLAFS operates internationally with sales partners in more than 44 countries.
