A new hotel opens on 21 February at Bleijenburg 1 in The Hague: Townhouse Designhotel together with Jolie Café Manger. The hotel concept, part of LBG Hotels, comes over from Maastricht with authentic Maastricht flans coming along too. Thus, people will soon be able to eat or take away freshly baked flans from Maastricht at Jolie daily, giving The Hague the first Maastricht flan bakery in the Netherlands. In addition, hotel guests and local residents can enjoy home-made dishes, Dutch pastries and quiches from early in the morning until late in the evening. Jolie Café Manger thus acts as the living room of the Townhouse Design Hotel, where the homely atmosphere and warm welcome are central and where guests are welcomed with a cup of soup. Above all, Jolie will also be the living room for the neighbourhood. In recent months, the Bleijenburg has undergone a major renovation, creating 88 hotel rooms, both double and quadruple. The rooms are bright and peaceful, using natural materials, plants and art. Should lodgers feel alone, there is the option of taking house fish Blub into the room. The grand opening will take place on 27 March.

The Townhouse Designhotel has its origins in Maastricht. In 2011, Townhouse Designhotel already won the award for Best Hotel Concept in the Netherlands. The concept, with a homely atmosphere and a combination of Limburg hospitality and modern design, can now also be experienced in The Hague. Characteristic of Townhouse is that it brings the city 'inside'. Townhouse Designhotel is within walking distance of the city centre, the Binnenhof and the Ministry of Finance, among others.
Rino Soeters and Ralph Meijs, owners of LBG Hotels, say: "As soon as you step into a hotel, you are a guest in their world and you no longer know which city you are in. We approach this differently with Townhouse Designhotel. With us, you enter the city where you are staying, in this case The Hague. This gives guests the feeling of coming home to a house in The Hague. That's why we don't talk about the lobby, but about the living room, and you enter where you enter with friends and family: the kitchen. A nice cup of soup awaits as a welcome, just like it used to be at grandma's house. Of course, nowhere is as good as home, but we like to be the 'second best'. We hope our lodgers will enjoy experiencing our authentic and genuine hospitality in The Hague!"
As soon as guests enter Townhouse Designhotel Den Haag, they immediately step into Jolie Café Manger. This is the bustling heart of the hotel where breakfast is served in the morning. Jolie is open from 07:00, also for local residents or passers-by. Everyone is welcome for coffee, croissants or a fresh point of flan on hand. After breakfast, a wide variety of fresh pastries, patisserie and flan are available, along with an assortment of hot and cold drinks. Fresh sandwiches, flans and much more can be enjoyed on site or collected. Jolie will also be the place to go for a drink or dinner, with beers from the local brewery.
Lucas Drewes, pre-opening director, adds: "The Hague, with its mix of tradition and modernity, provides the perfect environment for us to bring the Townhouse Designhotel concept to the city. With the opening of both Townhouse Designhotel and Jolie Café Manger, we are not only bringing a unique hotel concept to the city, but also a place that feels like a second home for both our guests and local residents. I love how the historical charm of Maastricht meets the dynamics of The Hague. We also make the stay extra special with unique details such as house fish Blub, who offers guests company during their stay."
