Lore Group has appointed Sting Mulders as Hotel Manager of Kimpton De Witt Amsterdam, succeeding Jos van Hunen. In this role, he will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the hotel, which has 274 rooms and suites, food & beverage outlets Celia, Café Celia and Super Lyan and 600 m² of meeting and event space.
Mulders brings experience from international hotel organisations, including positions within Marriott International. There, he was responsible for extensive F&B operations and involved in renovations and the development of new concepts. In subsequent years, he progressed to leadership roles within hotel management, including as Hotel Manager and Operations Manager.
“After cities like The Hague and Rotterdam, it was time for a new challenge. Together with the team and Regional General Manager Bart van de Brug, I look forward to further developing the hotel. Kimpton's open and accessible style, with ‘come as you are’ as a starting point for our guests and staff, suits me well but also how we want to make a difference: by keeping hospitality accessible and personal,” said Mulders.
In his new role, he will focus on further developing the offering within Kimpton De Witt Amsterdam, including strengthening food & beverage, entering into international collaborations and further developing existing product segments. This includes a focus on the offering of suites and family rooms, responding to the growing demand for family accommodation in the Amsterdam city centre.
