Amersfoort Hotel School (MBO) awards ‘Excellent Training Companies’ titles

The Hotelschool MBO Amersfoort has awarded the title ‘Excellent Training Company’ to five training companies. These companies stand out for their commitment to students’ development and their dedication to providing a safe and professional learning environment. Committed training companies are essential for the development of students into skilled professionals who embody the right values.

Students learn not only at school, but also through practical experience. In this way, they not only gain professional knowledge and practical experience, but also develop skills and personal qualities that prepare them for the workplace. With over 800 students gaining practical experience and more than 500 affiliated training companies, the Hotelschool MBO Amersfoort is a key player in hospitality education.

Collaboration with training organisations

Following the internship pact and in collaboration with the business community, the Hotel School has drawn up a number of criteria for awarding the title ‘Excellent Training Organisation’. The training companies involved actively contribute to a socially safe and healthy working and learning environment. To this end, a code of conduct has been drawn up to ensure that everyone is respected and accepted.

The support is focused on the personal growth of students as well as the development of workplace trainers. In this way, the training organisations align with the vision of MBO Amersfoort, in which learning through practice is a guiding principle. All parties involved – the business owner, the work-based trainer and the student – have roles and responsibilities in meeting the criteria set out in an agreement.

The five companies that have been awarded the title of ‘Excellent Training Company’ are:

• De Lage Vuursche Restaurant
• De Dorpskamer Restaurant in Ermelo
