Eindhoven strengthens its international standing with the NH Collection as Brabant’s only five-star Superior hotel

NH Collection Eindhoven Centre will retain its official five-star Superior classification until 2030. This means the hotel remains one of the 26 five-star Superior hotels in the Netherlands and the only hotel in North Brabant with this classification. The title follows an extensive independent audit in which the hotel was assessed against 239 international quality criteria.

This assessment takes place every four years and is carried out by Hotelsterren.nl, an initiative of Koninklijke Horeca Nederland (KHN). The organisation is a member of Hotelstars Union, which is responsible for the European hotel classification system.

Recognition for the hotel team

During the audit for the renewal of the five-star Superior classification, auditor Aad Jonas from Hotelsterren.nl expressed exceptional praise for the team: “Of all the hotels I visit each year, I have never experienced anything like this before. Your enthusiasm, passion and drive: everything is just right here, and you really do make all the difference.”

According to hotel manager Jeroen Renders, the extension is not only important for the hotel, but also beneficial for the Brainport region. The region is internationally renowned as a centre for technology, innovation and design, attracting visitors from both home and abroad. With this classification, Eindhoven continues to have a hotel in the highest category, befitting the international character of the Brainport region. “Our staff are not only ambassadors for the hotel, but above all for our Brainport region.”

According to Renders, the extension is, above all, a tribute to the staff. “This is a wonderful recognition for the entire hotel team, who ensure exceptional guest service and an outstanding guest experience every day. This means we are now one of the 26 official five-star Superior hotels in the Netherlands. In Brabant, the NH Collection Eindhoven Centre is the only hotel with this classification.”

Official unveiling

On Friday 30 October at 4.00 pm, the new five-star ‘Superior’ plaque was unveiled. This took place in the presence of Councillor Robert Strijk, Roland Kleve, director of Eindhoven365, and Aad Jonas from Hotelsterren.nl. The hotel team was also present at the unveiling.
