Van der Valk Exclusief has been given the go-ahead to build a new hotel in Doetinchem. The recent ruling by the Council of State has brought a lengthy legal process to a close, and work on the new hotel can now begin. The new Van der Valk hotel will form part of Van der Valk Exclusief.
By declaring the final objections to be unfounded, the Council of State has cleared the way for the construction of a contemporary hotel at a site near the A18. The Van der Valk project is being developed to cater for both business and leisure guests. Under the plans, the hotel will have over 100 rooms and ten conference rooms, making it a key venue for meetings, conferences, events and gatherings in the Achterhoek region.
There will also be a stylish restaurant where hotel guests and visitors from the region can enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner and business meetings. In addition, space will be created on the site for more than 300 parking spaces. This will make the hotel easily accessible to guests from the Netherlands and Germany.
With the opening of Hotel Doetinchem, Valk Exclusief is further expanding its network. The hotel is set to become a key meeting place for both tourists and business travellers visiting the region.
“After a long period of preparation, we are delighted to be able to take the next step in the development of Hotel Doetinchem,” said Marcus van der Valk.
