Pooling strengths and exploiting synergies. Emerging Austrian hotel group Alpin Family is setting the course for the future by partnering with InLeisure, a Dutch property developer and operator in the tourism sector. The two companies, with offices in Kaprun, Austria, and Amsterdam, announce that they want to strengthen their core business, create jobs and make holidays in Austria a very special experience by combining their expertise in different sectors. Alpin Family is a leading holiday specialist in the Austrian Alpine region and owns the hotel brands "AvenidA", "The House Collection" and "Alpin Rentals". The group currently consists of 16 hotels and 11 apartment buildings with more than 650 rooms at 7 prominent (ski) destinations in Tyrol, Salzburger Land and Vorarlberg. Thanks to its strong brand positioning in the premium and luxury hotel sector, Austrian Alpin Family is an excellent fit for InLeisure's international ambitions. InLeisure specialises in the development, leasing and operation of international hotels and holiday parks and is committed to sustainability and local involvement. InLeisure participates in Alpin Family and acquires part of the shares in Alpin Family. Through this collaboration with Alpin Family, InLeisure is entering the Austrian market for the first time.
"This alliance gives us the unique opportunity to share our expertise in different fields to create unforgettable holiday experiences," said Jeroen Postma, CEO of InLeisure. Ralph van Kollenburg, founder and CEO of Alpin Family, added: "The strength of InLeisure increases our capacity and opens new perspectives for growth and innovation. Alpin Family is a family business and our team works closely together, like a family, to offer our guests the best quality in our hotels, flats and restaurants."
The cooperation between the two companies will start by strengthening Alpin Family's existing operations. They will also jointly develop new projects and make acquisitions of existing businesses and hotels. The strong emphasis on innovative design, sustainability and a well-considered operating strategy, will play an important role in Alpin Family's operations and projects, thus benefiting significantly from InLeisure's expertise and input. At the same time, Alpin Family will retain its autonomy and strong local presence; this is essential for its success and continued growth in the Austrian market. Founded in 2009, Alpin Family is headquartered in Kaprun and currently employs more than 300 people.
InLeisure has the expertise of a highly experienced team. The company employs 65 people, in Amsterdam and three other European countries, with a further 150 seasonal staff. The opening of Blendin Bloemendaal, a 49-room boutique hotel in the middle of the dunes overlooking the North Sea, is one of the company's projects that excels. InLeisure has realised several resorts in different regions in the Netherlands, France and Portugal and will continue to expand its portfolio and activities in the coming years.
