Runnr.ai, an AI-driven platform for automated guest communications for the hospitality industry, has raised additional funding of €1 million in a round led by Arches Capital. This brings the total amount to €2 million. The funding raised will enable Runnr.ai to accelerate its mission to support accommodations, such as hotels and holiday parks, to improve guest satisfaction, automate repetitive and operational tasks and generate additional revenue through AI-driven software.
Runnr.ai enables accommodations to automate communication with guests through smart AI-driven solutions. For example, they can proactively send messages to guests via WhatsApp and SMS, guests' questions can be answered instantly in AI-driven conversations, upsells, such as breakfast, are proactively offered to guests and digital keys for room and accommodation can be sent. In addition, all communications across channels are collected in one inbox, including guest communications via platforms such as Booking.com. By automating key operational tasks, Runnr.ai helps hospitality teams improve efficiency, reduce workload and enhance guest experiences.
"The AI software market for the hospitality industry is expected to be worth $70 billion by 2031. The challenge for hotels and holiday parks is to manage guest communications and maximise their revenue. Runnr.aieliminates this by automating conversations, upselling and guest requests through hospitality software integrations. This allows accommodations to offer their guests the best possible experience, with minimal effort.", said Michiel de Vor, co-founder and CEO of Runnr.ai. "With the support of Arches Capital and our angel investors, we can increase our impact and bring intelligent automation to even more accommodations worldwide."
Since Runnr.ai's last round of funding in January 2024, in which €1 million was raised, the company has seen rapid adoption of its technology among several accommodations, including Center Parcs, Pillows Hotels, AG Hotels and Hotel Casa Amsterdam. The company now operates in more than 10 countries and has quadrupled the number of guests communicated with via the technology, from 4,000 to 16,000 per week, achieving a customer satisfaction rate of 94%. Finally, the team developed more advanced integrations with existing hospitality software to automate recurring tasks such as upselling, requests for cleaning and service, and online check-ins.
The additional funding raised will be used by Runnr.ai for further product innovation, market expansion and team expansion to strengthen the company's position as a market leader in AI-powered hospitality solutions. The company's focus is first on growth in the Netherlands, Belgium and the UK, followed by the rest of Europe.
"Runnr.ai sets a new standard in AI-powered hospitality automation,"said Frank Appeldoorn, Managing Partner at Arches Capital. "The technology's ability to increase guest engagement, generate more revenue while streamlining all operations makes it a must-have for any type of accommodation. We strongly believe in Runnr.ai's long-term potential and are excited to support this next phase of expansion."
